Our Management Team
Diedre has over 20 years’ executive level management and community development experience in the not-for-profit sector in rural and metropolitan environments.
She has managed programs and organisations in the areas of disability, women’s health – establishing the South West Women’s Health and Information Centre in Bunbury and is immediate past chair of the Fremantle Women’s Health Centre board, aboriginal health – working with the Noongar community to establish the South West Aboriginal Medical Centre and a conduct a Commonwealth Coordinated health care trial, aged care and community care – past CEO of Volunteer Task Force and previous Head of Metro Social Care at Silver Chain, and international emergency response – as Indonesian Desk Officer for the Australian Red Cross Tsunami Response team.
Diedre is also a director of a boutique software house, Configurable Software Solutions, a non-executive director of Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) and co-chair of Elder Abuse Action Australia.
Diedre is a passionate advocate for social justice and is CEO of Advocare, Western Australia’s peak advocacy agency for older people’s rights. She has a Bachelor of Education and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Theresa Ng has worked in accounting for 16 years across a variety of industries, mainly in the not for profit sector. She brings in depth knowledge of risk management, streamlining financial processes, change management and improving reporting and data analysis systems that enable senior management to make timely decisions to ensure the effective delivery of funding contracts.
As Advocare’s Finance and Business Manager, Theresa ensures that Finance, HR, IT and Marketing work together with the management team to ensure the provision of high quality service.
She feels privileged to be a part of the Advocare team, working in making a difference in supporting the lives of the older members in the community.
Theresa holds Masters in Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce.
Justine has worked in the aged care sector since 2008 working with both for and not for profit organisations. She brings a wealth of front line aged care experience to her role as Program Manager. She has worked in community care coordination for a number of major aged care service providers in Western Australia, and has extensive knowledge of the interface between organisational issues and client rights.
Justine was Advocare’s first Specialist Advocate in the National Aged Care Navigator Trial, providing face to face assistance to older and vulnerable community members to access aged care services. She has a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary and Primary), and a Diploma in Aged Care Coordination, as well as extensive working experience and training to support people living with dementia.
Justine is passionate about obtaining the best possible outcomes for every client. She is a strong voice for client self-determination and social justice.
